Jo Gallaugher, MBA

Jo Gallaugher has 20 years experience directing multi-site service organizations in health, education, and research. She has expertise in team building, change management, process reengineering, and strategic planning, and frequently speaks at local universities on these topics. Jo holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Jo began her career as an Accountant for Planned Parenthood Western Washington, moving into an info systems role as Medical Systems Administrator. She then spent seven years managing central computing support for the University of Washington and two years at the University of California San Diego as Director of Administration for the School of Medicine. She then served four years as VP of Operations for Vericare, a national behavioral health firm.

From 2007 to 2009, Jo participated in several organizational restructuring projects. She served as Turnaround CEO for US Mandometer, a Swedish based group treating eating disorders, and COO for Lotus Clinical Research, a multi-site clinical trials firm in Los Angeles. She continues to work with nonprofit and for-profit startups, providing guidance in operations infrastructure and strategic planning.

Fall of 2009, Jo created "matter!", a contemporary, fine art gallery in downtown Olympia, Washington. Matter Gallery exclusively features artworks using recycled and reclaimed materials - representing more than 100 regional artists. Jo is a member of the Olympia PBIA (Parking Business Improvement Area) advisory board, and she introduces new businesses by writing a recurring column for local newspaper, Olympia Power & Light.
